Arthas Menethil was the Crown Prince of Lordaeron and heir to the throne of King Terenas Menethil II. From his auspicious beginning as a Paladin and Knight of the Silver Hand, Arthas was eventually driven to take up a cursed runeblade and became an evil and powerful enemy of Lordaeron, and finally merged with the Lich King.
